Run SynergyOS for yourself on Hetzner or your own Linux box — private, integrated, and starting at $2.4/month.

What It Is​

  • A single-user edition of SynergyOS you run yourself.
  • Includes Files, Chats, Notes, Tasks, plus Email and Calendar frontends with desktop and mobile apps.
  • Private by default — data stays on your server.

  • Works without exposing your server to the internet.

Deployment Options (Evaluating)​

  1. Docker Compose (service + PostgreSQL) on Hetzner with object storage.
    → Approx. €9/month infra cost, cheapest option today.
  2. On-premise: your own Linux computer with local disk instead of object storage.
  3. Other options under evaluation: DigitalOcean, Contabo, Synology, TrueNAS, and more.
    → Final scope depends on demand.

Pricing (Planned)​

Enterprise pricing is $7.25/user/month, anchored to the U.S. federal minimum wage. You can read more in our pricing page.

For Personal pricing we also want to keep the same stable & predictable pricing. Our goal = 33% of Enterprise price, rounded → $2.4 / month.

Roadmap​

  • MVP beta: Docker Compose quickstart, PostgreSQL, local or S3 storage.

  • After GA: possible Team edition (2–5 seats), email/calendar connectors, NAS packages.

Market and Financials​

We believe the market size of indivisual isnterested in a fully self-hosted solutons is around 200k. At 2.4 price per month, the total annual revenues for this would be 5.7 million. This is very small for large tech companies to even consider.

If we have interest from 5000 users, revenue would only be 144k. it is a very small business but at this level it would cover the cost of one full-time employee to focus only on this deployment option. It is not a real business even with 5k users, but it goes towards our vision of a platform that can be deployed anywhere under your own control, and that must include personal users too, not only enterprise clients.
